Welcome to Kaufman First Grade!  I love children, which makes my job as an educator fun and exciting.   Two influential women helped me discover my love for teaching. The first woman was my second grade teacher, Mrs. Cook.  She modeled how learning can be fun, creative, and interesting all at the same time.  The second woman was my mother.  She was an educator in CISD and her focus was helping students with special needs. She

modeled good work ethics and showed me that she could help make a difference in the lives of all students. 

I value implementing the latest methods and best educational practices in my classroom.                        

 

       I grew up in Conroe and attended CISD. I have two sisters, Lindsey and Whitney.  I have two nieces, Samantha and Rowan, and one nephew, Reece.  While in high school, I was a lifeguard during the summer months and was a cheerleader throughout the school year. After high school, I earned my degree from Sam Houston State University.

       When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, swimming, and spending time with my family and friends.   I have a Chinese Pug named Daisy, which has brought so much joy to my life.    

  

        I encourage you to be involved in ALL aspects of your child's education. Your first grader’s academics will soar with strong support from you. I am committed to supporting your child both academically and socially.   I am delighted to have your child in my first grade class this year. I am looking forward to a fantastic 2016-2017 school year.
